Renuka & Don's Fall Wedding

The passion and commitment in what they do is simply admirable. Renuka and Don are both military doctors who have dedicated their careers to this field. They travel quite a bit therefore we primarily worked with the parents of the bride for most of the planning. We were honored to help plan this wedding..... and to be honest, working with the mother of the bride who is caring, patient and organized was a pleasure in itself.

Renuka and Don’s fall wedding took place at The International in Bolton, MA. The golf resort is gorgeous with tall windows and multiple event spaces. Renuka’s hair and makeup was done by Makeup by Marium for the entire weekend.

Day 1 of their wedding weekend was their Sangeet. This was a very colorful, tasteful, and musical party. Friends and family performed in musicals, dance performances, and speeches. Delicious catering by DaVinci’s Chef Peppino included Indian and western cuisines. A perfect fit for a fusion wedding where one caterer can balance the tastes of both cultures.

Ok, they literally cannot get off the dance floor! The talented Boston Sound and Light provided music with a dhol player for the wedding events. Shobha Shastry from Alankar beautified the room with vibrant décor. Love the unique backdrop!

The wedding day began with a bang on a Monday morning. Friends and family members of the groom rocked out to the baraat. The groom started on a horse by Boston Bridal Carriage but then quickly was off and started playing the dhol himself! The bride and groom incorporated some western traditions into the Hindu wedding day by not seeing each other before the ceremony.

The ladies did well stealing the grooms shoes. What a payout!

The evening was fulfilled with dancing, dancing, and more dancing. There was also a very cool mirror photobooth provided by Boston Sound and Light. The peacock blue and lime green with gold colors were provided by decorator Alankar and florist, French Bouquet. It is quite difficult to pull off a lime green backdrop but Renuka and Don made it look stunning with their complimenting outfits.
