Sungeeta & Matt - The Elephant Wedding

In the ancient days (and even sometimes today in rural parts of India), Indian marriages were arranged by the parents. The groom would have never met his bride until the day of the wedding, and the bride would have never met his prince. In those days, the groom and his family would come from afar, traveling miles or various terrains to meet his bride at her temple in what we call a "baraat". While there were no modern forms of transportation then, usually the groom would walk, or ride a camel, a horse, and sometimes an elephant. Weddings here in the state feature baraats, and sometimes animals like horses, but to imagine an elephant in the middle of Boston seems nearly impossible. At Mint To Be Events, we make dreams come true, as was the case for Sungeeta and Matt's gorgeous wedding day at the InterContinental Boston. And we even made NBC live news!

Sungeeta and Matt wanted us to help bring some Indian authenticity to their fusion wedding. Matt, of whom is non-Indian wanted an opportunity to show his family the traditions of his beautiful bride, and boy they didn't disappoint.

The bride and groom then snuck away for some alone time.

And then DJ Rushi and Dholi Rajan from Silk Events took over the reception along with some Bollywood dance moves by Fen Tung from BollyX who showed everybody how to have a good time.
