#Hirishma Ever After
It is not everyday a girl from London fancies a Southern Boy and his moonshine - but if you know our bride - She's not a shy one! Our beautiful bride, originally from UK and now living in NJ was marrying our handsome groom from Tennessee. For them, giving their family and friends a tropical destination, somewhere that would force minimal stress, and give them an opportunity to enjoy the wedding was essential. The Mint 2 Be planning team helped their vision come to life by assisting them in the #Hirishma ever after story.
Day One started off with traditional pre-wedding ceremonies of the bride and groom. Instead of having separate ceremonies (like it is typically done), we combined it into one event. The ceremony took place in a gazebo which was surrounded by water canals. This, along with sound of the ocean behind us provided a very serene ambiance. Fresh juices and tropical fruits, including our favorite mangos were served to the guests as the ceremony took place. YUM! What a refreshing treat it was! Once the ceremony was completed, our adventurous couple decided to go for a dip into the ocean! That’s right, they were in their traditional clothing with haldi (tumeric) on their bodies. I guess they wanted to give the salty water a taste of some masala!
The day continued into the evening with a traditional Garba event. Guests were welcomed with fresh coconuts (and yes, we had family members asking the staff to cut the coconuts to get the inside cream, how predictable?!). The terrace views were absolutely amazing as the sun was setting. The guests started with traditional garba dancing with music played by Boston Sound and Light’s DJ Yogi and DJ D-Xtreme. Then they slowly transitioned into open dancing by the end of the night. Needless to say, the guests were ready to make their spa appointments the next day to re-energize themselves from all the dancing. Those feet were hurting from moving all night long!
Day Two was the wedding ceremony. This took place on a custom built glass stage on top of a canal. YUP! That's right people! we put a mandap on water! The garlands were designed by a local florist and the priest was brought in from the U.S. The ceremony began with the grooms procession, baarat with a golf cart and live DJing. Talk about multi-tasking! The location was perfect for what the bride and groom wanted as they did not want the ceremony on the beach but wanted a water view backdrop. The pictures below can speak for themselves!
Day Three was the wedding reception. Although the resort insisted on moving the event indoors because of rain but we stayed with our original plan of having it on the beach. The lighting, LED dance floor, candles, and the breathtaking backdrop was just amazing. The food, dancing, coconuts, and the ocean made this an unforgettable reception. What more do you need when you have earth's natural beauty looking at you in the face!
The team at Mint 2 Be is very excited to have had the opportunity to work with such amazing and reliable vendors. The photographer Kunal from Eventsbyspl captured all the details and photographs for the weekend. These are just a sneak peak and we can’t wait to see the rest.
These snippets don't do justice to the weekend we experienced. Can't wait to see the remaining pictures and video by Akhil from LifeStream Pictures.
Huge shoutout to the Hard Rock Team in Punta Cana for all their work!
