Pooja + Kevin // Longing for Each Other at the Longwharf
As a wedding planner, I had the pleasure of organizing a two-day Indian fusion wedding for Pooja and Kevin. It was an honor to be part of such a beautiful and culturally rich celebration
The first day kicked off with a sangeet at the Waltham Westin. The ballroom was transformed into a vibrant and colorful space, filled with music and dance performances. The guests were entertained with traditional Indian dances like bhangra, garba, and dandiya, as well as contemporary styles like hip-hop and salsa. The energy in the room was electric, and everyone had a great time.
The wedding day began with a baraat, where we blocked off cobblebrick roads of the Longwharf in Boston. Guests gathered around as the groom made his grand entrance on a convertible, accompanied by his family and friends dancing to the beats of the dhol. It was truly a sight to behold.
The ceremony took place in the indoor courtyard at the Longwharf Marriott, which was decorated with flowers, candles, and beautiful fabrics. The bride made her entrance on a palanquin, looking stunning in her traditional Indian attire. The ceremony was a blend of Indian and American customs, with the couple exchanging vows and rings in front of their loved ones.
Following the ceremony, guests moved to the grand ballroom for the cocktail and dinner reception. The ballroom was elegantly decorated with blue tones to match the couple's outfits, and the centerpieces were a mix of Indian-inspired and modern floral arrangements. The couple made their grand entrance, and the night was filled with heartfelt speeches, delicious food, and lively dancing.
It was truly an unforgettable celebration, and I am grateful to have been part of it. Congratulations to Pooja and Kevin on their beautiful union, and I wish them a lifetime of love and happiness.
