Rashmi and Abhi // Worth The Wait

In early 2020, Rashmi and Abhi reached out to Mint To Be Events to help plan their wedding celebrations, and without warning came the news of the pandemic. The entire world had come to a standstill, and there was absolutely no certainty as to how weddings will be conducted. Then came a term coined only during the pandemic called "Covid weddings". The plan had always been to host a grander wedding, but given the restrictions, it was imperative that at the very minimum, the two get married. In the summer of 2020, Rashmi and Abhi had a small ceremony with immediate family only in Maryland and they put much of their reception celebration on hold. Here is a quick teaser of their Maryland festivity.

Even after having been married, there still seemed a particular void in the celebration - the party with all of their friends and family. And so, in 2021 we rekindled the planning efforts to help plan the rest of the celebrations. One would imagination, that having a basic reception, with good food and music would suffice. However, outside of having to sit through an Indian ceremony again, this couple wanted to experience all the other elements of a "normal" Indian wedding. And this party was certainly worth the wait.

The wedding celebration was held on August 14, 2021 at the Lake Pearl Banquets in Wrentham, MA

It's time for the first look.

Typically, the baraat is a tradition from the groom's side, but in this case, our bride and groom were already married, and so it fell in line with the tradition. =)
